The Donegal Association Dublin held their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 14th  October in the Regency Hotel, Drumcondra.

For the year ahead, there are a number of changes to personnel on the Donegal Association Committee. We welcome Elaine Caffrey (nee Doherty) as Chairperson of the Association. Elaine is from Carrigart originally and has been a key member of the Donegal Association for the past 6 years. Hugh Harkin will take over from Martin McGettigan as President. Hugh was Chairperson of the Association for a number of years and has been involved for many years. Hugh hails from Creeslough originally and has worked hard to strengthen the Association over the years. He is a fitting choice for President given his hard work and dedication down through the year.  We are delighted to see Elaine & Hugh take on these prestigious roles for the Association and we wish them all the best for the year ahead! We look forward to many successful events for the Association and our members, who are key to ensuring this continued success.

We wish to thank Martin McGettigan & Sorcha Ni Dhomhnaill for their hard work & effort on behalf of the Donegal Association down through the years. They have both given years of service to the Association and gone above & beyond the call of duty. “A formidable duo” as Moya Doherty had referred to them during this year!
